Okane - The main objective was to end hunger in Ethiopia and was attended by artists like The Who, Status Quo, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Madonna, Queen, Joan Baez, David Bowie, BB King, Mick Jagger, Sting, Scorpions, U2, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins (who played in both places), Eric Clapton and Black Sabbath, Abesses not we? ^ ^
Bell - was broadcast live by the BBC for several countries and opened the world's eyes to the misery in Africa.
Okane - 20 years later, in 2005, Bob Geldof organized the Live 8 as a new edition, with a larger structure and shows in more countries in order to pressure the G8 leaders to forgive the debt of the poorest countries in eradicating poverty world. u.u
Bell - has since July 13 came to be known as World Day of Rock.
